Invitation: My World

It’s often been said before that writing a story is parallel to inviting others into your thoughts and dreams, but I’ve never really paid that much attention to it as I have recently. With the advent of movies and books that may not have any emotional connections to the writers that wrote them (2005’s Dirty Love or any movie made Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer between 2007 – present) it sometimes becomes easy to forget all the work, effort, and emotion that goes into creating a good story.

Among the sea of authors, playwrights, screenwriters, etc., that create works of fiction for the wrong reasons, there are always those that do wish to create a work of art and do really feel connected to the words they write. When a writer really feels a connection you become proud of your work and there’s a passion there inside yourself that you feel able to share with the world, and that’s a very beautiful thing.

Oddly enough, I equate sharing stories to being in a relationship; I usually share my thoughts, feelings, and dreams only with my loved ones, but that’s not the case with my stories. I plan on sharing my stories with the world, which effectively means I’m having a form of limited relationship with people that I’ve never met. Again, this has all been observed before many times by other people, but it never has felt so real as the release date of book The Abnormals looms ever closer.

So with that, I hope soon to invite you all to my world – And I hope that you like it.

Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.
